Azerbaijan to install automatic meteorological stations in liberated lands
In the first half of this year, automatic meteorological stations are expected to come online as part of the restoration of five meteorological stations in the Shusha, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Kalbajar, and Zangilan regions of Azerbaijan.
Rafig Verdiyev, an employee of the National Hydrometeorological Service, said that modern automatic weather stations make it possible to increase the quantitative and qualitative indicators of information transmitted to both national and international broadcasts.
“In the field of hydrology alone, over the past 3 years, 40 most modern European-made automatic stations have been installed and operate online on large rivers. Through 11 of them, both the amount of water in the rivers in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions and the quality of water in transboundary rivers are monitored,” Report quotes Verdiyev as saying.
