Azerbaijan reveals virus in sweet peppers imported from Iran

The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency continues controlling the quality of food products that are imported into the country.

The representatives of the agency inspected a batch of sweet peppers imported from Iran and revealed the virus, the Food Safety Agency told Report.

Samples of more than five tons, imported from Iran by Nur Agro 2021 LLC, were sent to the corresponding laboratory of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute.

The virus with brown wrinkled patches was revealed in the samples.

Sweet peppers unsuitable for consumption were transported to the waste disposal site owned by Hazardous Waste LLC.
