President Erdogan: Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline project to contribute to Europe's energy security

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline project will intensify Türkiye’s partnership with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, and will also contribute to European energy security.

President Erdogan made the remarks during a press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on September 25, according to Azertac.

“Along with the Kars-Nakhchivan railway project, agreements on the construction of residential buildings and electricity supply have been recently signed. Thus, we have once again demonstrated our desire to develop our relations in the field of transport, logistics and energy,” the president added.
