Dozens injured released from hospitals after earthquake in Türkiye’s Malatya province
Eighty-one people injured in the earthquake in Türkiye’s Malatya province have been discharged from hospitals, while four others remain under medical supervision, according to local authorities.
They said in total, 85 of our citizens applied to hospitals: 70 of them due to fear and panic, and 15 sustained minor injuries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Authorities stressed that the earthquake did not disrupt communication systems or power lines.
“After the earthquake, turbidity occurred in the water at the Gündüzbey Kaptaş water intake facility; municipal teams, MASKİ (Water and Sewerage Administration) and public health departments continue necessary inspections and water quality analysis work,” the Malatya governor’s office noted.
Earlier reports said a magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Türkiye’s eastern Malatya province, with the epicentre at a depth of more than 7 kilometres.
