Armenia awaiting high-profile resignations Who is next?
A number of resignations are expected in Armenia's executive body after the election of the Council of Elders.
"Several 'well-known' ministers are scheduled to resign in the near future. According to information, the names of several candidates are circulating within the ruling political team: Minister of Economy and Social Affairs Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan and Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan will resign. The final decision will be made after the elections to the council," Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian daily Zhokhovurd.
According to the sources of the newspaper, Gnel Sanosyan will be replaced by the Governor of Syunik (Zangezur - ed.) Robert Ghukasyan and the position of the Governor of this region will go to MP Karen Hambardzumyan, who has been fighting fiercely for this position for a long time.
