Armenia, EU to sign strategic partnership agenda at Brussels meeting
Armenia and the European Union are set to sign a strategic partnership agenda following a Partnership Council meeting in Brussels on December 2.
The announcement was made by EU Commissioner for Enlargement Policy, Marta Kos, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“There will be a meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council, during which we will adopt a new strategic partnership agenda between Armenia and the European Union, which will serve as an action plan, a roadmap of what we can achieve,” Kos said.
She noted that the agenda includes support aimed at Armenia’s economic development and institutional strengthening.
The new partnership framework will also encompass cooperation in defence and security. Kos added that the EU will assist Armenia in countering potential hybrid threats, disinformation, and cyberattacks ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
