Armenia faces economic slowdown while other EAEU nations see expansion
Economic activity across the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states is maintaining a positive trajectory, according to the latest data on coincident and leading indicators.
While the economies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia are currently in a phase of expansion, Armenia and Belarus are experiencing a slowdown, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The EEU Commission's updated forecast for March predicts that Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will continue their current trends of growth. Russia, however, is expected to reach the peak of its business activity before transitioning into a gradual slowdown. For Armenia, a further deceleration is anticipated.
Leading indicators, which are used by the Commission to predict short-term economic trends, compile key information about economic processes, reflecting the behaviour of economic agents and major trends within the economy.
