Armenia to announce final parliamentary election results on June 14

09 June 2026 08:35

Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will announce the final results of the country’s parliamentary elections on June 14, CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan said, as reported by TASS.

“Until Friday, we will continue recounts and carry out correction procedures. After that, complaints and applications will be reviewed. The final results will then be announced on June 14,” he said on Armenia’s Public Television.

Hovakimyan noted that, in accordance with the Electoral Code, a five-day period will follow the announcement of the results, during which political forces that participated in the elections will have the right to appeal to the Constitutional Court.

“That means we will summarise the results on June 14. June 19 will be the day when political forces that took part in the elections can file an appeal with the Constitutional Court. If they do so, the matter will proceed to discussions in the Constitutional Court. Any further steps will be determined by the court,” he explained.

The CEC chairman added that once a complaint is filed, the Constitutional Court must review it within 15 days. If no appeals are submitted, the next stage after the announcement of the results will be the allocation of parliamentary mandates to the parties.

Armenia’s parliamentary elections were held on June 7. According to preliminary results released by the CEC from all 2,005 polling stations, the ruling Civil Contract party of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received 49.825% of the vote.

The Strong Armenia bloc led by businessman Samvel Karapetyan secured 23.281%, while the Armenia Alliance bloc headed by former President Robert Kocharyan won 9.934%.

The Prosperous Armenia party of businessman Gagik Tsarukyan received 3.996% of the vote and failed to enter parliament. Voter turnout stood at 58.97%.
