Armenian PM meets with Egyptian leader upon arrival in country
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who arrived on an official visit to Egypt, met with the country's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
"A one-on-one conversation between the leaders of the two countries was held, which was followed by extended discussions," Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Armenian government.
Pashinyan will spend two days in Egypt.
During his visit, Prime Minister Pashinyan is scheduled to engage in a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Armenia and Egypt.
Additionally, Pashinyan is set to hold meetings with several key figures in Egypt, including Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and religious leaders such as Pope Theodore II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, as well as the Supreme Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Al-Tayyeb.
Furthermore, Pashinyan's agenda includes a visit to the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, where he is expected to engage with Egyptian businessmen, fostering dialogue and exploring opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries.
