Azerbaijan Airlines embraces skies with eco-friendly Airbus A320neo addition PHOTO/VIDEO

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), a subsidiary of AZCON Holding, has officially added a state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo to its operational fleet.

The new-generation aircraft is expected to enhance passenger comfort, boost operational efficiency, and significantly reduce the airline’s environmental footprint, Caliber.Az reports, citing AZAL.

The Airbus A320neo is equipped with a contemporary cabin layout, designed to deliver a superior travel experience across both business and economy classes. The interior features ergonomic seating, ambient lighting, and a high-quality in-flight entertainment system, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for passengers throughout their journey.

Among its standout features is high-speed internet access. Business class passengers and eligible members of the “AZAL Miles” loyalty program can take advantage of complimentary Wi-Fi service during the flight—a feature aimed at meeting the evolving expectations of modern air travelers.

“This fleet renewal initiative is one of the pillars of our strategic vision,” noted AZAL President Samir Rzayev. “The introduction of the Airbus A320neo enables us to raise the bar in terms of service quality and comfort, while also supporting our commitment to greener aviation.”

The airline has confirmed plans to take delivery of a second A320neo aircraft in early October. Looking ahead, AZAL intends to expand its fleet by more than 30 new aircraft by the year 2032, in alignment with global aviation trends and sustainability targets.
