Azerbaijan among top three tourist destinations for Indians

The Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency has announced that Azerbaijan's capital Baku ranks among top destinations for Indian tourists. 

Baku has emerged as one of the top three destinations preferred by Indian tourists, Caliber.Az reports, citing Skyscanner international platform.

Baku is now the third most searched destination among Indian travelers, with search interest increasing by 438 per cent. Vietnam’s Da Nang and Kazakhstan’s Almaty occupy the top two spots. The report also highlights a 22 per cent drop in flight prices from India to Baku, making it one of the most affordable destinations for Indian tourists.

From January to July 2024, 139,109 Indian citizens visited Azerbaijan, marking a 151 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
