Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Italy tops $10.5 billion
Azerbaijan conducted the majority of its foreign trade with Italy between January and October 2025, reaching $10.56 billion, according to data from the State Customs Committee.
Italy accounted for 25.83% of the country’s total trade volume during the period, marking a 10.3% increase compared to the same months in 2024, Caliber.Az reports.
Türkiye remained Azerbaijan’s second-largest trading partner with $4.77 billion in turnover, representing 11.67% of total trade. However, trade with Türkiye fell by 7.4% year-on-year.
Russia ranked third, with bilateral trade rising 5.3% to $4.15 billion, making up 10.16% of overall turnover.
Among the other top partners, China recorded a significant 26.5% increase, reaching $3.81 billion. Germany’s trade volume with Azerbaijan fell by 3.9% to $1.24 billion, while the United States saw a modest 1.9% rise to $1.06 billion.
The United Kingdom registered a notable 1.7-fold increase to $1.02 billion, and Switzerland posted a 2.1-fold increase to $839.4 million. Meanwhile, trade with Australia and the Czech Republic decreased by 26.2% and 20.1%, respectively.
Overall, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover grew by 3.8% in the first ten months of 2025, reaching $40.86 billion.
In comparison, the country’s full-year trade turnover in 2024 stood at $47.61 billion, a 7% decline from 2023.
