Baku, Washington explore broader trade, economic cooperation

Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, met with a delegation from the US State Department to discuss strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two countries.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy stated that the talks focused on the current state of Azerbaijan–US economic cooperation and priority areas for future partnership, Caliber.Az reports.

During the meeting, the sides underscored that enhanced collaboration on the development of international transport corridors would significantly support regional development.

The discussions also covered prospects for expanding trade and economic relations, as well as deepening cooperation in both the energy sector and Azerbaijan’s growing non-oil industries.
