Azerbaijan, China hail growing ties following Aliyev’s state visit
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with China's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, on May 15, as both sides praised the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between Baku and Beijing.
During the meeting, the two officials highlighted the growing momentum in Azerbaijani-Chinese cooperation, crediting the close partnership between President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping for the progress achieved, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The talks placed particular emphasis on President Aliyev’s recent state visit to China, describing it as a milestone in the relationship. They noted that the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership had raised ties between the two nations to a new level.
Discussions also covered the expansion of trade, economic collaboration, and humanitarian initiatives.
Both parties expressed interest in deepening cooperation across various sectors of mutual benefit.
