Azerbaijan clears 2,129 hectares of mines in May 1-11 operation Post-conflict cleanup accelerates
Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared a total of 2,129 hectares of land from mines and unexploded explosive devices in territories liberated from occupation between May 1 and 11.
The agency’s latest weekly report shows that clearance operations were carried out across multiple districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, Zangilan, as well as the city of Khankendi.

During this period, specialists discovered and neutralised 71 anti-personnel mines, 20 anti-tank mines, and 440 unexploded ordnance items.
