Azerbaijan, EU provisionally finalize text on bilateral document UPDATE/PHOTOS
Negotiations held between Azerbaijan and the European Union from June 2–3 in Baku resulted in a new draft version for the two entities' Partnership Priorities for 2026–2030.
As part of talks on the new comprehensive agreement, representatives of Azerbaijani government institutions and the EU reviewed various sections of the draft text, Caliber.Az reports citing information received by the country's foreign ministry.
According to the institution, progress was made in several areas and outlined the next stages of the negotiation process.
At the conclusion of the meeting, which marked the 30th anniversary of the two sides' partnership, parties agreed to continue intensive negotiations through a combination of online and in-person meetings.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, while the EU delegation was headed by the Deputy Managing Director at the European External Action Service, Audrone Perkauskiene.
The Azerbaijani delegation also included representatives from the Presidential Administration, the ministries of economy, justice, energy, digital development and transport, finance, labour and social protection, science and education, as well as the Central Bank, the State Customs Committee and the State Oil Company (SOCAR), among other institutions.

Azerbaijan and the European Union have provisionally concluded the text for an important agreement, which lays out the scope of the two entities' partnership.
The document was worked on during recent talks in the Azerbaijani capital marking the 30th anniversary of bilateral ties, which the EU mission to Azerbaijan described as "productive" via a post on X, as Caliber.Az reports.
"Negotiators provisionally concluded the text of Partnership Priorities and officially resumed negotiations on a new bilateral agreement," the statement reads.
According to the diplomatic representatives, the partnership's focus is on creating stronger dialogue, connectivity and economic cooperation between the two parties.
