Azerbaijan, Hungary explore agrarian cooperation opportunities PHOTO
Azerbaijan's Agriculture Minister Mejnun Mammadov met with a delegation led by Csaba Duricza, the Rector of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Natural Sciences (MATE), who is currently visiting Azerbaijan.
The discussions focused on potential collaboration in agriculture, scientific research, and agrarian education, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
They also addressed the establishment of double degree programs with Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU), the training of specialists, and internship opportunities for young professionals.
Minister Mammadov noted that during his recent visit to Hungary, an agreement was reached on future cooperation directions and highlighted the importance of integrating advanced scientific achievements and innovative technologies into agrarian education.
Rector Duricza emphasized that this collaboration would strengthen the ties between the two countries in agrarian education. He shared insights into the teaching methods and research initiatives at MATE, which is recognized as Europe’s oldest agricultural university.
The meeting also explored avenues for cooperation between ADAU and MATE, including student and faculty exchanges, as well as the significance of joint scientific research and sharing best practices.
