Azerbaijan, IFC sign cooperation deal on public–private partnership development PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening public–private partnership (PPP) mechanisms in the country.
The agreement, announced during the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku, is designed to enhance capacities in the PPP sector, improve the investment climate, and support sustainable economic growth, Caliber.Az reports.

Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said discussions with Thomas Lubeck, IFC’s Regional Manager for PPP Transaction Advisory Services in Europe, focused on expanding the use of PPPs in Azerbaijan, as well as implementing joint infrastructure and social projects with IFC involvement.
“This agreement represents a significant step toward advancing public–private sector collaboration in Azerbaijan,” Jabbarov noted.
