Azerbaijan installs new module at Azeri-Central-East field PHOTO

The self-propelled STB-1 barge belonging to the fleet of "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company [ASCO]” CJSC and used for transportation of support blocks and modules of offshore platforms, is off on its next voyage.

ASCO Head of Press Service Mehman Mehdiyev has informed Caliber.Az that the platform surface module for the Azeri-Central-East platform field built at ATA ("Amec"-"Tekfen"-"Azfen") yard was loaded onto a barge for transportation to the platform installation site.

Its weight is 19,600 tons and its height is 36 meters.

It should be noted that the barge is the largest in the Caspian Sea. Its length is 163 meters, width - 45 meters, carrying capacity - 18,000 tons.
