Azerbaijan, OPEC discusses favourable cooperation areas
Azerbaijan and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) have discussed enhancing cooperation for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
The issues were discussed at a meeting of Azerbaijan's First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev with the Director General of the OPEC International Development Fund Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa on the sidelines of the 48th annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, according to Report.
During the meeting, information was provided on national priorities of the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan until 2030, and the interest of Azerbaijan in cooperation with international financial institutions in the framework of these goals was noted. The need to expand ties in the development of priority sectors was emphasized.
The sides discussed the potential of the East-West and North-South transport corridors and Azerbaijan's role as a transport hub, as well as renewable energy projects and SME support
At the meeting, a high-ranking delegation from the foundation was invited to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan to develop bilateral cooperation.
