Azerbaijan reaches 1/4 finals in FIDE World Team Championship 2022 in Israel

The Azerbaijani men's team continues competing in the FIDE World Team Championship 2022 in Israel.

The national team consisting of Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Teymur Rajabov, Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Gadir Huseynov and Vugar Asadli met with the Israeli team in the last, fifth round of group B, Media.Az informs.

The Azerbaijani national team, having gained a victory over the opponent with a score of 2.5:1.5, reached the 1/4 finals and ranked second (seven points). Our chess players will compete with the Spanish team at the next stage.
