Azerbaijan renders satellite services to 42 countries in 2022 PHOTO
The Azerbaijani satellite operator “Azercosmos” rendered satellite telecommunication and optical satellite services to 42 countries worth $26.6 million in 2022.
The data came online in the Export Review released by Azerbaijan’s Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications on February 1, 2023, Caliber.Az reports.
Azercosmos' 2022 revenues from services exports accounted for 82 per cent of its total revenues, the review says.
In December 2022 alone, the space company exported services to 36 countries worth $2.3 million.
The top five exporters of Azerbaijani satellite telecommunications and optical satellite services throughout 2022 became Great Britain with $6.5 million worth of exports.
France with $6 million, Luxembourg with $4.3 million, the United Arabian Emirates with $2.2 million and Pakistan with $1.5 million.
