Azerbaijan to launch construction in Aghdam Industrial Park till late 2022

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy Elkhan Shiriyev has said that nine enterprises will start construction work on the territory of the Aghdam Industrial Park allocated for residents till late 2022. 

“The old buildings are demolished on the territory of the park while demolition is not required in some areas. Two enterprises plan to start construction work till late July 2022 while the rest of enterprises - till late 2022,” Shiriyev told Report.

He noted that entrepreneurs submitted 15 projects with a total investment value worth more than 60 million manats ($35 million) to become residents of the park.

“These projects are related to cotton processing, cottonseed oil production, as well as building materials, food and dairy products,” the deputy chairman said.
