Azerbaijani ambassador, Philippine deputy FM discuss COP29 climate conference PHOTO
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Timor-Leste, as well as to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Jalal Mirzoyev, has discussed with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Philippines, Charles Jose, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on climate change (COP29).
Discussions took place during Mirzoyev’s working visit to the Philippines, Report informs, citing the Philippines's Foreign Ministry press service.
Azerbaijani diplomat invited Jose to participate in the COP29 Climate Change Conference to be held in Azerbaijan in November.
"Azerbaijan's non-resident ambassador to the Philippines Jalal Mirzoyev has invited the Philippines to the upcoming UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP29 event to be held in Baku. Undersecretary for Multidisciplinary Affairs and International Economic Relations Charles C. Jose reaffirmed the Philippines' commitment to the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement, looking forward to engaging with all parties at COP29 to achieve climate solutions," the statement said.
