Azerbaijani border officials honour fallen heroes on anniversary of Victory in Second Karabakh War
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Azerbaijan's Victory in the Patriotic War, the leadership of the State Border Service (SBS) visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay their respects to those who sacrificed their lives for the restoration of the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The delegation laid flowers at the graves of the fallen heroes, Caliber.Az reports, citing the SBS.
According to the SBS, the event was followed by ceremonies held across various structural units and military divisions of the service.
During these events, the bravery of Azerbaijani servicemen, who swiftly liberated occupied territories, was highlighted.
It was noted that all tasks assigned to the State Border Service during the Second Karabakh War, the events of September 12-13, and subsequent counter-terrorism operations were successfully accomplished. Azerbaijani border guards displayed exceptional heroism both in aerial and ground operations.
The commemorative events concluded with the screening of a documentary titled "Invisible Heroes – The State Border Service," showcasing the valour and dedication of SBS personnel.
