Azerbaijani Central Election Commission annuls election results at several polling stations
The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) has annulled the election results at several polling stations.
CEC Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov said that the CEC has taken all necessary steps for holding transparent and fair elections, Caliber.Az reports.
Gasimov made these remarks at a CEC meeting on February 11.
He noted that proceeding from the investigations, there were some attempts to mar the healthy electoral environment.
All received protocols, as well as information on social media resources were checked. This work was facilitated thanks to numerous web cameras, the introduction of which is Azerbaijan’s innovative experience.
During investigations, violations were revealed at several polling stations.
Thus, the voting results were annulled at polling stations #38 of the Ganja-Samukh-Goranboy constituency #41, at polling stations #7 and #27 of the Gusar constituency #61, polling station #9 of the Salyan-Bilasuvar-Neftchala constituency #65, polling station #2 of the Sabirabad-Shirvan constituency #68, at polling stations #7 and #31 of the Lankaran constituency #77, polling station #6 of the Goychay-Agdash constituency #92, polling station #2 of the Barda constituency #99, polling station #1 of the Sheki constituency #114 and polling station #6 of the Sheki rural constituency #115.
The commissions of these polling stations were dissolved.
