Azerbaijani company sells agricultural equipment worth $9,1 million in 2023

Agroservice OJSC, a subsidiary of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture in Azerbaijan, has reported the sale of agricultural equipment amounting to 15.5 million manats ($9.1 million) in the year 2023, Report informs.

This significant figure was disclosed in the annual report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan for the same year.

According to reports, Agroservice facilitated the sale of agricultural machinery valued at nearly 16 million manats, showcasing its pivotal role in supporting the agricultural sector's development and modernization initiatives. The sale of equipment underscores the company's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity across the country.

Moreover, the company allocated a substantial sum of 7.4 million manats ($41.1 million) last year towards the acquisition of 3.100 breeding animals on preferential terms. This initiative, based on 78 applications, aimed to bolster livestock development efforts, with a particular focus on enhancing the quality and quantity of cattle and small ruminants.

Agroservice's proactive approach in facilitating access to modern agricultural machinery and livestock underscores its dedication to advancing the agricultural sector's growth trajectory. By providing essential resources and support to farmers, the company plays a vital role in driving sustainable agricultural practices and fostering economic prosperity in Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, Agroservis, a prominent player in Azerbaijan's agricultural sector, played a crucial role in providing vital agricultural inputs to producers across the country. According to recent reports, the company supplied a total of 38.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, valued at 22.3 million manats ($13.1 million), encompassing a diverse range of products tailored to meet the specific needs of agricultural producers.

Among the supplied fertilizers were 4,800 tons of ammonium nitrate, 430 tons of ammophos, and 3,700 tons of nitroammophoska, catering to various agricultural requirements and ensuring the optimization of crop yields. Additionally, Agroservis facilitated the distribution of 29,400 tons of urea, 150 tons of ammonium sulfate fertilizer, and 50 tons of potassium sulfate fertilizer, further bolstering agricultural productivity and sustainability initiatives in the region.

Moreover, the company also provided 10,000 litres of pesticides, valued at 200,000 manats ($117,000), to assist farmers in combating pests and safeguarding crop health. This comprehensive range of agricultural inputs underscores Agroservis' commitment to supporting the agricultural community and fostering sustainable practices in Azerbaijan's farming sector.
