Azerbaijani, European engineers discuss prospects of AI, energy in Germany PHOTO
The 2nd European Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers on the topic “Prospects for Exchange in the Fields of Artificial Intelligence and Energy between Azerbaijan and Europe” was held in Cologne, Germany.
The forum took place with the support of the Fund for the Support of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, which operates under the Committee, and the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan.
Altay Rustamli, Head of the Organizing Committee of the I European Forum and Chairman of the Board of the Alliance, emphasised the importance of the event in terms of consolidating the activities of engineers.
Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, noted that the forum serves as an important platform for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and cooperation:
"Regardless of where they live, every compatriot is at the center of attention of the Azerbaijani state. The course in working with the diaspora, defined by President Ilham Aliyev in accordance with modern challenges, stimulates the activities of our compatriots abroad, including scientific and cultural diplomacy. I would like to highlight that the European Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers creates conditions for the effective use of their intellectual potential, the generation of new ideas, and joint initiatives."
Samir Rzayev, Advisor at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany; Sanan Tapdigov, Board Member of the Intellectual Property Agency; Tahir Khalilov, Acting Chairman of the United Water Supply Service of Major Cities; and Rashad Khaligov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, highly praised the work of the forum in their speeches.
Participants were presented with extensive video materials on the committee’s projects, including the goals and significance of specialised forums, as well as presentations on various applications of AI, emotion recognition through AI, ethical innovations in humanoid robotics, and several other areas.
Elkhan Richard Sadik-Zada, specially appointed professor at Korea University and Chair of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd European Forum; Sonabayim Huseynzade, Chair of Women in Engineering; Rauf Abdullayev, engineer at the Berlin School of Medicine and Berlin Business School; and several prominent Azerbaijani engineers, scientists, and specialists from Europe spoke about the importance of international cooperation, innovative initiatives, and scientific-technological exchange in engineering. They also shared personal experiences, noting that the forum will make a significant contribution to the development of the scientific and intellectual potential of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
The forum was moderated by Sabina Mammadova, Chair of the German-Azerbaijani Music Society “Mugham,” and was attended by around 200 compatriots and foreign guests from 16 European countries and 45 German cities.
