Azerbaijani official: Kazakhstan delivers top medical care to plane crash survivors
Azerbaijani Deputy Health Minister Ilgar Gasimov has said that high-quality medical assistance was rendered by Kazakhstan to the injured in the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash.
Gasimov stated that seven injured individuals had already been transported to Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"Seven more people will soon be brought to Baku. We are fully prepared for their treatment. Currently, it is not advisable to transport the three severely injured individuals from the plane crash in Aktau to Baku," he added.
He mentioned that these individuals are on life support machines at a hospital in Aktau.
The crash occurred on December 25, when an Embraer aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, en route from Baku to Grozny, tragically crashed near Aktau. The plane was carrying 67 people, including 37 Azerbaijanis, 16 Russians, 6 Kazakhs, and 3 Kyrgyz nationals. Sadly, 38 people lost their lives in the crash, with 29 survivors. In response, President Ilham Aliyev declared a day of mourning in Azerbaijan on December 26 to honour those lost in the tragedy.
