Azerbaijani PM to address delegates at fifth Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi photo
The fifth Silk Road Forum has officially opened in Tbilisi, with the opening ceremony taking place at the city’s Opera and Ballet Theatre, local media reports.
The event brings together the prime ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia — Irakli Kobakhidze, Ali Asadov, and Nikol Pashinyan — who are all scheduled to deliver speeches during the ceremony.
Running until October 23, the fifth edition of the forum is expected to draw up to 2,000 delegates, providing a platform for high-level dialogue between governments, international organisations, and business leaders.
Attendees include senior political figures, representatives from the private sector, heads of international organisations, prime ministers and deputy prime ministers from the region, as well as industry ministers, executives from some of the world’s largest companies, international financial institutions, and experts.
Discussions at the forum will focus on enhancing regional cooperation, expanding transportation and logistics along the Middle Corridor, and strengthening trade and economic ties between participating countries.
The Silk Road Forum has grown into a key international platform promoting multilateral engagement and fostering collaboration between states, businesses, and international institutions.
