Azerbaijani state committee: Cargo transit along Middle Corridor to be simplified

Cargo transport along the Middle Corridor may be simplified by introducing digital solutions, said Shahin Baghirov, First Deputy Chairman and Acting Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC).

He made the statement at a meeting with the Director of the World Customs Organization's (WCO) Capacity Building Directorate Taeil Kang, Report informs, citing SCC.

During the meeting, Baghirov noted the important role of international cooperation in exploring modern challenges, solutions and technologies in the customs field.

He also emphasized that the WCO plays an important role in building customs affairs on a scientific basis, studying and promoting best practices.
