Baku hosts 2nd meeting of Emergency Ministers of OTS states
The 2nd meeting of the Ministers on Disaster and Emergency Management of member and observer states of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) kicked off at the Baku Congress Center on September 7.
The meeting is organised by the Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry, Report informs.
The purpose of the event is to develop existing relations between the organisations responsible for emergency management of member countries, discuss the issues of achieving joint and coordinated action during emergency situations, and organise the discussion of the draft Agreement on the establishment of the Civil Defence Mechanism.
In the afternoon, Baku 2023 international training will be held in the Alat settlement.
Azerbaijani Emergency Minister Col Gen Kamaladdin Heydarov, OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Turkish Internal Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Kazakh Emergency Minister Maj Gen Syrym Sharipkhanov, Uzbek Emergency Minister Maj Gen Abdulla Kuldashev, Kyrgyz Emergency Minister Boobek Ajikeev, and Turkish Northern Cyprus Internal Minister Dursun Oguz are participating in the meeting.
