Baku, Minsk explore joint venture opportunities
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov met with Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Nazaruk on September 3.
The meeting highlighted the importance of high-level exchanges between Azerbaijan and Belarus as a foundation for expanding bilateral economic cooperation, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The statement also emphasized that trade and economic relations with Belarus are on the rise, with a 29 per cent increase in trade turnover between the two countries from January to July 2024.
Minister Jabbarov pointed out Azerbaijan's favourable business climate and the significant opportunities for partnership in various economic sectors, particularly in the reconstruction and construction projects underway in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.
The discussions also covered the implementation of existing agreements, expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and the agro-industrial complex, as well as the potential for establishing joint production enterprises.
