Baku to host Azerbaijan-EU business forum
On May 17, the Azerbaijan-European Union (EU) business forum will be held in Baku.
The event will be organised jointly by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Azerbaijan-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the Ministry of Economy, Report informs.
The agenda of the business forum is expected to address the expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, establishment of effective interaction between companies from both sides.
Azerbaijan and EU have been working a new mutual agreement to reshape bilateral relationship. In February 2022, EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, said the EU could mobilise €2 billion of investments in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a reliable energy partner of the EU, helping it diversify its energy supplies. More than 10 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani has have been supplied to European markets since December 2020.
