Baku to host meeting of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank
Baku will host the 24th meeting of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) on June 23.
The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Finance, Representative Director of the BSTDB for Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov, Report informs.
Representative directors of the BSTDB member countries - Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, Greece and Ukraine will take part in the annual meeting. The board of directors will evaluate the bank's performance and approve the financial statements for 2021.
The meeting will focus on such issues as further expansion of existing opportunities and potential for expanding cooperation in the banking and business sphere between member countries, as well as financing of small and medium-sized businesses.
On the second day of the event, on June 24, as part of the annual meeting with the participation of the BSTDB, the government of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) under the Ministry of Economy and regional business associations, a business forum entitled "The BSTDB’s role in supporting the diversified and innovative economy of Azerbaijan in a changing world” will be organised. At the forum, with the participation of representatives of the private sector and experts, issues of economic diversification will be discussed. In addition, business leaders of the Black Sea region will consider trade and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and its regions.
