Bayraktar manufacturer never to sell combat drones to Russia

The executive director of the Turkish company Baykar Makina, Haluk Bayraktar, has said that he would never allow the sale of Bayraktar drones to Russia and supports Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and independence.

He noted that Türkiye and Ukraine have a strategic level of relations, especially in the aerospace and defence industries, RBC-Ukraine reports citing CNN.

"It's about years of effort. Türkiye supports Ukraine with combat drones, we also buy turbine engines for drones from Ukraine. We have built relations with Ukraine in a way that gives advantages to both countries," he said.

When asked about the theoretical possibility of supplying Bayraktar to Russia, Bayraktar answered negatively.

"We did not do this and did not provide them. We will also never do that. Because we support Ukraine, we support its sovereignty, in fact, its struggle for independence," he said.
