Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Russian university
Students and staff were evacuated from a branch of Russia’s presidential academy in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk on February 26 following a bomb threat, university officials said, adding that there was no danger to life or health.
The evacuation took place at the Siberian Institute of Management, a local branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
According to the academy’s press service, students and employees were evacuated after a bomb threat was received, and preliminary information indicated that there was no threat to their safety.
The RANEPA building is located in the central part of Novosibirsk on Nizhegorodskaya Street. The evacuation was conducted in extremely low temperatures, with the air temperature in the city dropping to around minus 25 degrees Celsius.
