BP and partners wrap up project to support development of Azerbaijani IT market
BP and the partners in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Shah Deniz, and South Caucasus Pipeline projects have completed today the ABB Tech Academy project they joined in 2020.
According to Report, the project trained a total of 208 people from various sectors and developed their information technology (IT) skills, general technical knowledge, and abilities, enabling them to keep up with the rapidly changing world of technology. The training for 150 of these participants was co-funded by BP and partners and the IBA.
Nine groups with representatives from more than 50 local and international organizations, including IBA and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Baku Engineering University, Baku Higher Oil School, UNEC, etc, were offered during the project.
The total cost of the project is 400,000 manats ($235,300), half of which was provided by BP and its partners, and the remaining 200,000 manats were financed by the International Bank.
