23 January 2023 10:07
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the presidential and parliamentary elections in the republic will be held on May 14.
He made remarks in a meeting with youth in the city of Bursa on January 22, per BBC.
“I call on the representatives of our youth, who will take part in the elections for the first time, to make the right choice during the voting, which will take place on May 14,” he said.
Initially, the presidential elections in Türkiye were planned to be held on June 18. Erdogan said the change of the date should not be interpreted as an early election decision.
