Erdogan calls Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation "vital" for Europe's energy security
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken about the importance of the Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation for Europe's energy security.
"Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation is vital for the energy security of Europe," he said in his congratulatory message to the participants of the Baku Energy Week on June 4, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan.
Thanks to the jointly implemented projects, Azerbaijan and Türkiye play an important role in ensuring the energy security of Europe, Erdogan said.
“By implementing such gigantic projects as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, and Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) pipelines, we have made an important contribution to regional and global energy security,” he noted.
Erdogan is convinced that the processes taking place in the international arena show how correct the actions that were taken by Ankara and Baku were.
According to him, Azerbaijan has taken important steps to develop renewable energy, calling it a "right move" to declare Karabakh and East Zangezur a "green energy" zone.
