Erdoğan: Türkiye, Azerbaijan determined to implement projects for regional peace PHOTO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared his impressions of his meeting with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
The corresponding statement was posted on the Turkish leader’s page on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az informs.
"It was a great pleasure for me to welcome my brother, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, to Türkiye. We are making significant progress in all areas of our fraternal relations, embodied in the slogan ‘One nation – two states.’ The ties between our countries are constantly developing in many spheres, from defense to trade," Erdoğan noted.
He also emphasized that the energy sector is at the forefront of this cooperation.
The Turkish leader added that Baku and Ankara seek only peace and cooperation:
"I would like to state the following: Türkiye and Azerbaijan stand for peace, security, and prosperity. We simply want peace in our region, we want cooperation, and we want to develop together. From now on, we are determined to jointly implement all kinds of projects aimed at regional peace, prosperity, and security," Erdoğan added.

Let’s note that on March 5, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the Turkish capital Ankara where he met with President Erdoğan and participated in the opening ceremony of the Iğdır-Nakhchivan gas pipeline via video link.
