EU’s Kallas calls for de-escalation in Iran war

Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, said on March 19 that efforts should focus on finding an exit from the war involving Iran and preventing further escalation.

“We need an exit from the Iran war, not an escalation,” Kallas told reporters ahead of a European Council summit in Brussels, Iran International reports.

She emphasised that resolving the Iran conflict is as important as seeking a solution to the ongoing war in Ukraine, highlighting the EU’s dual focus on regional stability and broader international security.
