FIFA president invited to COP29 PHOTO

Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein Fuad Isgandarov, embarked on a visit to Zurich, where he engaged in pivotal discussions at the headquarters of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

According to AZERTAC, Ambassador Isgandarov convened a meeting with Mattias Grafström, Secretary General of FIFA, to discuss pertinent issues.

During the meeting, Ambassador Isgandarov presented an invitation from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of Parties (COP29) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The invitation, warmly received by Grafström.

The gathering also saw the presence of FIFA Regional Director for Europe, Elkhan Mammadov, and FIFA's Senior International Relations and Public Affairs Manager Annaliza Tsakona.
