The first batch of cargo from the Chinese Tianjin railway station has been sent from Azerbaijan’s Baku port to Finland.
The first block train consisting of 54 containers transported by the Aghdam and Nakhchivan ferries from Kazakhstan’s Kuryk port was delivered to the Port of Baku as part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), according to Trend.
“The main cargo owned by the Finnish Nurminen Logistics company accounts for auto parts, plastic products, textile equipment and other similar non-food products. Then they will be transported to the Georgian port of Poti, from there by ferry across the Black Sea to Europe, to the Romanian port of Constanta, and then by block train to Finland,” the port said.
The management of Nurminen Logistics company previously visited the Baku port and, after viewing the technical capabilities, decided to transport goods from China through Azerbaijan.
