French envoy: Azerbaijani language deserves worldwide recognition
French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon has said the Azerbaijani language deserves more recognition in the world.
"Today is the Day of the Azerbaijani language. Thank you to all the teachers who teach it and good luck to the students (including me)! This beautiful language deserves more recognition in the world!” Caliber.Az quotes the ambassador as tweeting.

August 1 has been celebrated as a Day of Azerbaijani Alphabet and Language in the country since 2001. The decree to mark this day was signed by the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev on August 9, 2001, with the decree ''On establishment of the day of Azerbaijani alphabet and Azerbaijani language'', under which 1 August is celebrated as the Day of Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani language every year.
