Iran accuses US, Israel of orchestrating network to destabilize country
The Intelligence Organization of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the detection and dismantling of what it described as a subversive network operating under the direction of US and Israeli intelligence services.
In a statemen, the IRGC Intelligence Organization said that “through precise monitoring and intelligence efforts, a subversive network directed by American and Israeli spy agencies has been identified and neutralized after a series of observation and control operations," Tasnim reports.
The statement further claimed that following what it called “the Israeli regime’s defeat in the 12-day war,” Tel Aviv — “acting as Washington’s proxy in the region” — had shifted its strategy toward fomenting unrest and undermining public security “in an attempt to compensate for its dismal military failure.”
According to the IRGC, the Israeli intelligence services established “a network of deceived and treacherous elements” within Iran during the autumn months with the objective of destabilizing the country. “The members of this network were detected, placed under surveillance, and subsequently arrested by God’s grace and the vigilance of the IRGC intelligence forces,” the statement said.
The organization added that the coordinated operation spanned several provinces across Iran, targeting affiliated cells allegedly connected to Israeli intelligence “that sought to carry out acts harmful to national security.” The IRGC said these cells were successfully “struck and dismantled.”
