Iran’s new leader appointment crushes enemy plans, says IRGC adviser
The appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new leader has dealt a fatal blow to the plans of its adversaries, Hamidreza Moghaddamfar, an adviser to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said.
He stated that in recent months, the United States has suffered a series of setbacks across military, political, and diplomatic fronts, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
“First, the enemy was defeated in the 12-day war, then in the street coup and hybrid warfare project, and finally on the diplomatic front. Their attempts to impose conditions in negotiations through internal pressure failed thanks to the skilled leadership of the Supreme Leader and strict adherence to red lines,” Moghaddamfar stressed.
He added that President Donald Trump’s direct intervention in the process of selecting the new leader exposed the enemy’s desperation. “The main plan was to create a power vacuum and block the appointment of a capable successor, but mass public support and the heroism of the armed forces thwarted their calculations.”
He noted that Khamenei’s election has attracted significant attention both regionally and internationally. The transfer of power to an experienced leader with years of media, political, and religious expertise is seen as a continuation of the previous leadership’s line. The new leader is expected to maintain stability and consistency in the institution while minimising internal and external risks, Moghaddamfar emphasised.
“In this way, all strategic calculations of the enemy—wars, coups, and diplomatic manoeuvres—have been undone, while Iran’s national resilience and unity have reaffirmed the strength and invincibility of the system in times of crisis,” he concluded.
