Kazakhstan doubles oil deliveries to Germany
Kazakhstan has significantly increased its oil exports to Germany, with shipments through the Adamowa Zastawa checkpoint on the Druzhba pipeline reaching 310,000 tonnes in January 2026, the national oil company KazTransOil (KTO) said.
By comparison, deliveries in January 2025 totalled 127,000 tonnes, marking a 2.4-fold increase in monthly volumes, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Over the course of 2025, Kazakhstan supplied Germany’s Schwedt refinery with 2.1 million tonnes of crude.
The country is expecting shipments to rise further in 2026, with forecasts suggesting up to 2.5 million tonnes could be delivered.
Since 2023, Kazakhstan has been exporting oil to Germany via Transneft’s pipeline network, directing crude to the Adamowa Zastawa delivery point.
