Kremlin says it discloses all Putin–Trump contacts, cites ongoing security briefings
The Kremlin said it publicly reports all contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump whenever they occur.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said statements are issued after such interactions, with presidential aide Yuri Ushakov providing additional briefings on the details of phone calls, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
According to the Kremlin’s official website, the most recent call between the two leaders took place on March 9.
Peskov also said Putin receives regular operational updates on the domestic security situation, including information on drone attacks.
“The president is briefed several times a day—and at any time if necessary—on all incidents and the measures being taken,” he said, describing the flow of information as continuous.
He added that assessing the origin and geography of potential drone threats is the responsibility of Russia’s military and intelligence services, which determine appropriate countermeasures. Peskov made the remarks in response to media speculation that some unmanned aerial vehicles could have been launched from neighbouring Kazakhstan.
