Meeting of Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Development Fund discusses priority directions of investments PHOTO
The 2nd meeting of the Council of the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Development Fund chaired by First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev was held in Baku on November 23, Caliber.Az report citing Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry.
It was noted that the Fund will become an effective mechanism for the development of close economic ties between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, including for joint implementation of major investment projects and more effective use of the export-import potential of both countries. The Fund will also support joint activities of business structures of both countries and ultimately contribute to the development and expansion of ties between the countries.
It was also noted that the fund, established to promote economic cooperation, economic modernisation, and effective use of opportunities, will invest in priority projects of business entities in the fields of agro-industry, energy, horticulture, textiles, tourism, and others.
Since the first meeting of the council, which took place on July 27 in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon Ata, a number of technical issues on the agenda have been agreed upon, including the regulations on the council and the board of the fund.
At the 2nd meeting of the council, various organisational and legal issues were also deliberated.
